Smile n Say Cheese!

Hey people 🙂

Hope you are all well!

I want to say a big thanks for your feedback on my last post. I received a lot of messages and got to know that a number of you work with special people like Hayley Okines. Keep up the good work . . . I’m sure that your work is truly cherished by these people and their families. It is beautiful to share your time, talents, and skills with others. It is what makes the world such a wonderful place.

Smile n Say Cheese!I’m posting another drawing which will be part of a series called ‘Summer Fun’. The image will be free for 24 hours so just go ahead, download it and spread the word! Afterwards you can find the stamp in my shop. This drawing is called ‘Say Cheese!’. It features two friends having fun, sipping cocktails and partying 🙂 And isn’t Summer all about beach parties and fun? 🙂

Enjoy it and hope you can use it in your cards and crafts. Stay tuned as I will be hosting my first card challenge very soon! 🙂

More about this in my next post x x

Hang in There Hayley!

Hey people,

Hayley Okines

Hayley Okines

Hope you are all well and doing great! 🙂

Today I’m uploading a card I’ve made a couple of weeks ago. This card was made for a very special teenager who has touched the hearts of many with her courage, positive outlook and warm cute smile!

I’m talking about Hayley Okines (http://hayleyokines.com/) who suffers from Progeria, a rare genetic disease that manifests itself in symptoms of rapid ageing in children. I want to share her story with you. Please do share it with your friends. Hayley has worked hard to raise awareness about this rare condition. You can also help out by donating to the Progeria Research Foundation (http://www.progeriaresearch.org/). I’ve just purchased her book ‘Old Before my Time’ (written by Hayley and her mother) in which they tell their unique story. It’s a lovely read.

Hang In ThereFor the card I used one of my images ‘Hang in There’. I used brown and pastel colours and embellished it with flowers, butterflies and metal decorations. I also gave it a little bit of a grungy look while keeping it pretty 🙂

Please do share this story with your friends. With more awareness we’d surely be helping these children and teenagers! Let us give a helping hand !!

Big hugs to all,

Christine x x
